Black Rock Trail Hike 10 miles 

This is beautiful, but difficult trail
Some of the best view of the Banning Pass 

No permit required

Time Frame 
6 am to 3:30 pm Drive, Hike, Lunch Mr. Taco, Drive back to Pilot 

or 

6 am to 2 pm Drive, Hike, and drive back to Pilot. (ensure your carpool buddy is skipping lunch)

Black Rock Trail.

Time spent moving. 3:54 h

Ascent. 2713 ft

Descent. 2628 ft

This trail will help you determine if you can handle a steep climb, and breathing at hiker altitude.

Bug Spray is recommended. Those little bugs can be annoying 

MEET AT PILOT GAS STATION 
6605 N Indian Canyon Dr, North Palm Springs, CA 92262
DEPART 

We depart at 6 am sharp
We leave early to avoid the afternoon thundershowers, and heat. 

Dress in Layers (weather will probably be cold to start)
Bring lots of water 
Snacks 
Hiking Poles.

Those who want to have a late lunch around 1 or 2 pm can join us at Mr. Taco. Otherwise if carpooling ensure your group is heading back to the Pilot.
