HI CAMPERS,
We stay at this spot a lot during Covid. It out of way, quiet, and the rocks are worth collecting
Arrive as the sun is setting. The night will be warm/cool
Each a campfire, stars, and half moon
You can sleep in your car
Tent
or a Cot Outside
One should have high clearance vehicle for we drive on a dirt road for 30 minutes

Camping
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
1. Your car should have decent clearance.
2. We drive on a DIRT ROAD FOR 12 MILES. You should be comfortable DRIVING AT LEAST 15 MPH ON A DIRT ROAD. Doing so will take 1 hour to get to the our location. ANY SLOWER and you will be trying find us in the dark. YOU WON'T FIND US IN THE DARK
3. NO RESTROOMS. You will need to go into nature
4. NO WATER so you need to bring your own.
5. Everyone brings FIREWOOD...Home Depot OR LOWES
6. You don't need a tent but you can bring one. You can sleep in your vehicle. I usually sleep on a cot unless windy.
7. The space is huge. You could camp a mile away if you need social distancing lol
8. The drive from Palm Springs to the MEETING LOCATION at WILEY WELL REST STOP OFF THE 1O FREEWAY is 1 HOUR AND HALF DRIVE. We meet at the Rest Stop at 6 PM NO LATER.
9. I would suggest you BRING a chair, food, water, sleeping items, firewood and anything else you need to be comfortable
10. It can be BREEZY sometimes...1 of last 4 times was breezy.
11. RULE: Pot Smoking must be away from the group.
12. RULE: Be mindful...Drink but not to the point it changes your behavior.
13. RULE: Money jar will be in place. $5 fine for bring up politics, or controversial topic. Leave it at home for we are camping.
WHY DO I GO BACK TO THE SAME LOCATION
1. The area is quiet
2. The stars are amazing
3. I bring a fire ring so we have a campfire.
4. It is easy to setup and breakdown camp.
5. We arrive at sunset and leave in the morning.
6. The rock collecting in the area is great!
