HERMAN'S HIKE IN THE COAHELLA VALLEY PRESERVE
If we get light rain. Bring umbrella and we will do a short version of this trial.
Moderate though if you are not used to elevation gain or 5 miles of hiking then this might be difficult for you.
The trail can be compared in difficultly to bump and grind, the Cross HIke.
Length of overall hike: 5 miles
Difficulty: moderate
Elevation gain: 500 feet
Time: 3 hours
Moderate though the distance and quick elevation climb maybe rough on those who are not used to that type of activity.

Herman's Hike is the newest trail in the Coachella Valley Preserve. This is great trail that allows us to go into the backcountry of the Coachella Valley Preserve At the peak you are treated to some spectacular views of the Coachella Valley and surrounding mountains. You will also cross two earthquake faults.

Meet at the new Starbucks off the 10 freeway in Cathedral City...To me it will alway be Thousand Palms since it is on the Thousand Palms Side of the Freeway. There is a Taco Bell and a new McDonalds at the location
