HIKE TO A NATURAL HOT SPRINGS TRAIL
(MODERATE TO DIFFICULT)

NOTE: My car is now full. I have Damaris Chiquete, Norma Vargas, Sork Chhor in my vehicle. I am checking with the others who are going if they have room and a high clearance vehicle. If you wish to go let me know. I am waiting to hear back from Elizabeth Bonilla and Toni Ringlein on their vehicle situation.

WHY IS THIS TRIP SO LONG?
Duration of event includes
drive time (1 & Half hours each way)
hiking (1 hour hike each way)
soaking (hours soaking),
and dinner at Pappy and Harriets
This is an adventure that you should be bring a bathing suit...or you may be bored watching people soak for a few hours.
It is like hiking the Bump and Grind. Just take your time going back up. If you don't or can't hike elevation then this hike is probably not for you.
DEEP CREEK HOT SPRINGS
This is truly an amazing hot springs. There are 4 pools that range from 90 to 105 degrees. There is a cold water crossing but it is worth it.

Soaking in Natural Hot Water in the middle of Canyon sound good to you? Sounds awesome to me. This area is next to the Pacific Crest Trail which is truly amazing. Usually there are 4 hot pools ranging from 96 to 105 degrees.
AFTER THE HIKE...
Dinner at the World Famous PAPPY & Harriet's in Pioneertown. You can skip dinner and head home. You should be home between 3 to 4 pm by skipping dinner.

CAUTION!?
Two Few Things upfront before you sign up:
1 You will see naked people. It is normal. Most people have bathing suits but on occasions there will be some nudists.
2. The 1 mile up the hill is not fun. A Steep Climb that I would rate Moderate for everyday hikers but if you are not condition for elevation gains then this may be a butt kicker for you. It is kind of like stacking two "Bump and Grinds" hikes together.
3. We drive on a 5 mile dirt road.
4 Wheel Drive is NOT NEEDED.
But you should have some Vehicle clearance or go very slow with your low end vehicle.

We are park our cars at a ranch and the owner charges a $10 rate per person.

$10 plus entrance fee
Figure if you are carpooling and gas being about $4 a gallon that you should split between the group in the car about $50. So $50 split with whatever the number is in the car.

Here are the rest of the facts:
...1. This a drive- Hour and Half to the location
2. We need to drive on a maintain dirt road for 5 miles of the last part of the journey.
3. The hike is 1.1 miles in and 1.1 miles back out.
4. Elevation drop is 950 feet and then all 950 feet back out again. Beginning elevation is 4200 feet
5. You will see nudists.
6. Bring lots of water and some food.
7. This is an amazing place. Water temp is between 96 to 103. Three natural hot pools to sit in.
8. There is a fee and Bowen Ranch. I think it is $10 per person.
9. Bring a bathing suit or birthday suit. Sunscreen is a must.
10. Please keep in mind it could be very warm. Bring lot's of water.
11. Bring money for dinner (cash)

LASTLY
The hot spring's water is clear and non-sulphur smelling. It's temperature exiting the ground is over 100 degrees where it then flows into seven man-made soaking pools adjacent an annual flowing creek.
