THE TRAIL:
San Jacinto South Fork
Just below Mountain Center and 20 minutes from Idyllwild is San Jacinto South Fork Trail. Before the drought the area had a flowing stream with trout. The the stream is no more than a trickle. Even so the trail offer stunning view towards Hemet and Temecula.

5.75 miles round trip
ELEVATION GAIN: 400ft
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Moderate
MEETING LOCATION:
Pilot Gas Station

No pass required
AREA IS 15 DEGREES COOLER THAN THE DESERT FLOOR.
WHAT TO BRING:
1. Dress in layers
2. Bring 3 litters of water
3. Sunscreen
4. Cash for the driver if you carpool
5. Bring $15 if you are not a yearly member (Become a yearly member and your $15 will be applied to the membership).
6. Hat
7. Bring Cash for Lunch in Idyllwild
WHEN CARPOOLING WITH OTHERS:
Drivers should not have to pay for gas. Cash if you plan to carpool. Drivers should not have to pay for gas. The driver should be consuming about $25 in gas round trip from Visitor Center to and from Hiking Location
