Meeting Location:
MEETING LOCATION

Park just before crossing the bridge over Whitewater. If you go to the Whitewater Preserve Visitor Center you have gone too far.

DEPARTURE ON THE TRAIL
7:30 am sharp

THE TRAIL
The trail climbs up switchbacks, offering ever-expanding vistas of the surrounding mountains and river valley. At the top, the trail branches. Take the left branch toward the east, nearing the cliff edge above the visitor’s center. Eventually, you reach a spur leading to the actual edge of the cliff. Follow it to look down at the visitor’s center and the beautiful ponds to the south.
If we end up being a larger group, we will break into smaller groups as we hike down from the overlook into the ranger preserve area.
